At its February 20 regular meeting, the River Board’s Technical Advisory Council (TAC) elected long-standing member Stu Marvin as Chair. Mr. Marvin is a city planner and environmental advocate. The Temple Terrace City Council appointed him as their citizen representative in 2012. Alissa Sieben, who represents the Planning Commission on the TAC, was elected Vice Chair. Ms. Sieben was appointed to the Planning Commission last year by the Tampa City Council. A local resident for 33 years, Alissa Sieben has worked professionally on affordable housing, market-rate multifamily housing, and for-sale housing throughout Hillsborough County.

The TAC advises and makes recommendations to the Hillsborough River Interlocal Planning Board concerning the development of the Hillsborough River Corridor and monitoring of activities within the Hillsborough River Corridor as they relate to the local comprehensive plan river policies. The TAC meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m.

Currently, the Tampa City Council seeks a resident to serve on the TAC. These are voluntary positions, and members serve without compensation. Members shall serve at the pleasure of the Tampa City Council. Members must have a demonstrated interest in the protection of the Hillsborough River.
