Intergovernmental Coordination

Overview

Planning Commission staff initiated this text amendment to update the Intergovernmental Coordination Element (ICE) of the Future of Hillsborough County: Comprehensive Plan for Unincorporated Hillsborough County on January 1, 2022. This effort was deemed to be needed as this section (Element) was last updated in 2008. The Intergovernmental Coordination section sets forth the means and structure to coordinate the activities and responsibilities of local governments and other agencies that are tasked to serve our residents and meet the long-range vision of Hillsborough County.

Intergovernmental Coordination for unincorporated Hillsborough County involves many jurisdictions:

  • Hillsborough County
    • Tampa
    • Plant City
    • Temple Terrace

  • Manatee County (and its Municipalities)
  • Pasco County (and its Municipalities)
  • Polk County (and its Municipalities)
  • Pinellas County (and its Municipalities)
