The Hillsborough Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) is currently updating our Public Participation Plan (PPP), and we want to hear from you! This document outlines the guidelines, standards, and strategies for how we conduct engagement. It is a formal commitment and the TPO is accountable for executing the procedures outlined in the Plan.


Set to be approved by the TPO Board on September 10, the draft of the PPP is available for review and public comments. This is a great opportunity to let your voice be heard by sharing with us how to most effectively reach your community. Some of the proposed changes include:

  • Using SurveyMonkey and Survey123 to ensure our surveys are ADA compliant
  • Standardizing public notices to 10 days in advance of meetings
  • Canceling or postponing a committee meeting within 4 calendar days at the discretion of the TPO Director in consultation with the committee liaison
