The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners and the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) Board of Directors voted unanimously in June 2023 for THEA to conduct a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for US 301, from the Selmon Expressway to Big Bend Road. To prepare for this important study, THEA is hosting three public workshops in Southern Hillsborough County. These workshops aim to gather feedback from residents and commuters along the US 301 corridor.

Additionally, the Board of County Commissioners requested an update to the existing Riverview Community Plan in conjunction with the US 301 study. The update will edit existing strategies and/or create new strategies for the goals of the Riverview Community Plan that affect the US 301 corridor.
