Tri-County MPOs request Letters of Intent for Transportation Disadvantaged pilot

October 2018 – The Tri-County Transportation Disadvantaged Board Subcommittee, encompassing Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties, is seeking transportation providers to establish cross-county trips. Service will be provided to residents who qualify as transportation disadvantaged (TD) with a focus on medical and life-sustaining trips. This serves as a request for Letters of Intent (LOI) from applicants in the FTA Section 5310 funding cycle to fulfill this need through a pilot project.

LOIs are due October 22, 2018 via email to Manny Lajmiri, Senior Planner, Pasco County MPO at Applicants may consider both operations and capital needs. Community transportation coordinator agreements will be required through the FTA Section 5310 process, with applications due January 15, 2019. Individuals served must qualify for the Transportation Disadvantaged Program in their home county. Medical or life-sustaining service trips are a high priority.
