Staff Spotlight: Katrina Corcoran
Katrina Corcoran, AICP | Community Planner II | Tenure: 1 year
Originally from Arcadia, Florida, Katrina graduated from the University of South Florida’s Master in Urban and Regional Planning Program. She previously served as a Planner with the consulting firm Renaissance Planning before joining Plan Hillsborough.
As a Community Planner, Katrina Corcoran assists with transportation-related policy, strategic plan implementation, and special area studies. She currently leads the update of the Transportation Element within the Unincorporated Hillsborough County Comprehensive Plan and serves as a liaison with the MPO to coordinate on joint project efforts and related tasks. Katrina is also a member of the Enabling Transportation Choices group for the Plan Hillsborough Strategic Plan implementation where she is assisting with infographics and policy work related to autonomous, shared, and connected vehicles. She has also assisted with special areas studies, such as the Ybor Vision Plan update and the USF Value Capture Study.
In her spare time, she loves walking and biking around downtown Tampa and drawing in her sketchbook. She also enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and two rescue cats Max and Maycee, who were adopted from the Bahamas.
