Jiwuan Haley, Plan Hillsborough staffJiwuan Haley, AICP | Senior Planner | 9 months

Jiwuan Haley is a Senior Planner in our Comprehensive Planning Policy and Review Division. She assists the team with reviewing rezoning cases and Comprehensive Plan amendments for consistency with the Unincorporated Hillsborough County Comprehensive Plan. She is currently tasked with reviewing several rezoning cases to familiarize herself with some of the more detailed Community Plans. These reviews have provided her with the opportunity to learn more about the Wimauma, Citrus Park Village and Brandon Community Plans, what makes them unique, and how the visions and strategies of the plans impact growth and development in Hillsborough County. Jiwuan is also reviewing a proposed mixed-use rezoning project aiming to redevelop and reinvigorate the current University Mall site located on E. Fowler Avenue.

Jiwuan is originally from Panama City, Florida. She previously served as a Land Use Planner with the Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Department where she processed rezoning cases, Comprehensive Plan amendments, and reviewed site plans. Jiwuan is a graduate of the Florida State University’s Master of Urban and Regional Planning Graduate Program and a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.  In her spare time, Jiwuan enjoys walking down Bayshore Boulevard during sunsets.
