Planning Commission accepting applications for appointee to the TPO Citizens Advisory Committee

As a voting member of the Transportation Planning Organization (TPO), the Planning Commission appoints a member to the TPO Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC). The Planning Commission invites anyone interested in transportation and planning for the future of our community to submit an application for consideration to be appointed to the CAC for a two-year term. Applications are due by 5/17/24 to Sharon Snyder, [email protected].

In accordance with the Planning Commission Bylaws, if there are three or fewer candidates for the position, the candidates and their applications will be provided directly to the Planning Commission for review and selection. Each candidate will make a three-minute presentation to the Planning Commission.

The Citizens Advisory Committee consists of citizen volunteers and provides information and expresses overall community values and needs in the transportation planning process. The committee evaluates and proposes solutions from a citizen’s perspective, and furnishes knowledge gained through the CAC back to local groups.
