The Community Air Monitoring Network Annual Summit is right around the corner, and it’s shaping up to be an energizing day for everyone interested in cleaner air and healthier neighborhoods. The Hillsborough Transportation Planning Organization, teaming up with local agencies and community groups, is bringing people together to explore how communities across Hillsborough County can learn more about air quality near major interstates and in the places where residents live, learn, work, and gather.
This year’s summit will shine a light on the growing network of more than twenty‑two community‑hosted air monitoring sites now active throughout the county. Attendees will also get an inside look at health, mobility, and environmental initiatives led by partner agencies, along with firsthand perspectives from community members who are using air monitoring to raise awareness and support local decision‑making. The event will also offer tools and opportunities for anyone interested in helping sustain long‑term community air monitoring efforts in Hillsborough County.
The summit takes place Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Hillsborough Community College Ybor City Campus Courtyard, located at 2112 N 15th St. in Tampa. It’s hosted by the Coalition for Community Air Monitoring, an open forum that welcomes residents, organizations, and partners who want to learn more about community‑supported air monitoring and public education on air quality, health, and transportation (event page).
It’s a great chance to connect, learn, and be part of a growing movement focused on understanding and improving the air we all share. Visit the network website: Community Air Quality Monitoring Network – Plan Hillsborough for more information.
