Imagine 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan

The Long Range Transportation Plan directs federal and state dollars towards projects we value. It looks out at least 20 years and must be updated every five years.

The MPO adopted the Imagine 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan on November 12, 2014. But the 2040 Plan is a dynamic document that can be amended. Imagine 2040: Part 2 outreach results

After thousands weighed in on the Imagine 2040: Part 1, the Hillsborough Planning Commission and Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) continued their joint effort to create a vision that will guide the Plan 2040 Transportation Plan and the Comprehensive Plans for Tampa, Temple Terrace, Plant City, and unincorporated Hillsborough County. This next phase, called Imagine 2040: Part 2, was themed “You spoke. We listened. Tell us more.” After listening to the public’s Part 1 vision, Part 2 honed in on how to get there by focusing on which transportation investments are most important to secure a prosperous future for our region given the limited funding available.
