This Veterans Day, we’re proud to recognize the members of our Plan Hillsborough team who have served in the United States Armed Forces and those whose lives have been shaped by military service through family and loved ones.
Diego Guerra, Senior Environmental Planner, served as a Gunnery Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. His humanitarian missions in Nepal after the 2015 earthquake and in the Philippines following Typhoon Haiyan, as well as his experiences with the impacts of wildfires in California, sparked his passion for community resilience. Today, that commitment carries through in his work supporting the Hillsborough River Interlocal Planning Board.
Paul Lively, Administration Specialist, served as an Army medic (E-3). His return to public service reflects his desire to contribute directly to the community he calls home.
Jonathan Nixon Elder, Budget & Grants Coordinator, served as a Petty Officer Second Class in the U.S. Navy. The strategic thinking, program management, and accountability he honed in the Navy now guide his work supporting the TPO’s mission.
We also honor the many others on our team whose lives are connected to military service:
- Brynn Dauphinais, Child of a Veteran
- Gail Reese, Spouse of a Veteran, Child of a Veteran, Grandchild of a Veteran
- Sharon Snyder, Spouse & Child of a Veteran
- Gena Torres, Partner & Child of a Veteran
And to those who chose not to be featured, we appreciate and support you as well.
This Veterans Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to all who have served and to those who support them.
