Help plan your neighborhood’s future

CLC study meeting 2 graphic

January 2022 – Unincorporated Hillsborough County citizens are encouraged to assist the Planning Commission with the Commercial-Location Criteria Study for Unincorporated Hillsborough County by telling us what changes to the requirements you would like to see. The purpose of the study is to determine the best location for future commercial uses and to make it easier for neighborhood-serving commercial uses to locate in areas convenient for residents. Changing demands have spurred discussion of reworking the County’s comprehensive plan to accommodate such uses in residential areas. The plan is a framework for how land can be used.

A community meeting will be held on January 20, 2022 at 5:30pm to give you the opportunity to weigh in and to discuss proposed changes being considered to the Commercial Locational Criteria (CLC) contained in the County’s Comprehensive Plan. This meeting will be held in a hybrid format. Register for the virtual meeting in Microsoft Teams.

The in-person component accompanying the virtual meeting will be held at the Robert W. Saunders, Sr. Public Library in the Ada T. Payne Community Room at 1505 N Nebraska Ave, Tampa, FL 33602. Participants are welcome to join staff in person to watch the virtual presentation. Capacity is limited, so please register in advance by emailing Andrea Papandrew at Additional project details are available on the Commercial-Locational Criteria page at: Commercial-Locational Criteria Study | Plan Hillsborough
