The Hillsborough TPO is thrilled to announce our participation in an event at a new magnet school in South Tampa. On Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m., Adum K-8 will host its first Bike Rodeo. This fun-filled morning will be a fantastic opportunity for students and their families to ride their bikes and scooters around a specially designed course while learning about bike safety.  

Why a Bike Rodeo? The primary goal is to encourage students to travel to and from school safely – whether by bike, scooter, or on foot. Promoting safe travel habits is essential for students’ well-being and independence.  

What to expect…   

  • Bike and Scooter Course: A fun and educational riding course that teaches kids important bike safety skills  
  • Safety Information and Giveaways: the TPO Staff will be there with safety information and small giveaways for participants.  
  • Community Partners: Sidewalk Stompers is also partnering and joining this event.  

Join us! Mark your calendars for September 7. Let’s make this Bike Rodeo a success. It’s going to be a wonderful morning of learning, riding, and fun. Don’t forget to bring your bikes and scooters… and your helmets!
