Due to the effects of Hurricane Milton, the Hillsborough TPO has rescheduled the long-awaited Access 2050: Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) public hearing from October 16 to Wednesday, October 30. The hearing will begin at 6 p.m. and the Board is expected to take action on some important items, including the LRTP which serves as a master plan for prioritizing transportation projects across Hillsborough County over the next 25 years. Recognizing that the initial 30-day public comment period was disrupted due to Hurricane Milton, that window has now been extended all the way up until the date of the hearing. Those wanting to provide comments may do so virtually, in person at the hearing, or in advance via phone or email. Comments are also welcome on all our social media platforms, including the LRTP Public Hearing Facebook Event page.
